 | SCOTT SWANSON - Head CoachScott Swanson is entering his second season as head coach of South Carolina Volleyball. Named head coach in February, 2011, he is the 11th head coach in program history. During his first season, the South Carolina Gamecocks doubled their win total from 2010 and captured two different preseason tournament championships.
Swanson comes to South Carolina after a successful five year run at the University of Minnesota where the Golden Gophers advanced to five consecutive NCAA Women's Volleyball Division-1 Tournaments (2009 National Semi-Finalists) and amassed 125 wins. During his tenure in the Twin Cities, Swanson led five athletes to AVCA All-America honors while helping to lead the Golden Gophers to multiple top-three finishes in the highly regarded Big 10 Conference. |
